Mabuhay and welcome to my Efolio.

After three years of vigorous practical application of public health theories, I have gathered invaluable experiences and skills reflected in this website.  This Efolio details my Master's experience of combining theory and practice during the Master’s in Public Health program at San Francisco State University.    

As a Public Health Practitioner, I believe that research plays an imperative role in the prevention and control of disease.  Recognizing health disparities is key in directing needed health research to help disadvantaged communities achieve optimal health.  Through my professional experience and academic work, I've learned to plan health programs appropriate to individual communities, evaluate efficacy and organize resources to improve health conditions.  My unique perspective as a Filipina-American, my experiences in the MPH program, and my diverse research training allows me to develop critical thinking and analytic skills and the chance to serve disadvantaged populations.
